My Story (The developer of this web site)
I was brought up Baptist. I was saved at eight years of age when I believed that Jesus died for me on the cross and I accepted Him as my savior. Paul's Gospel of "For by grace you have been saved through faith..." (Ephesians 2:8) and "But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness," (Romans 4:5) was preached often in my church. However, as I grew I would hear sermons based on other scripture such as James saying "You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only." (James 2:24) Both of these verses would be preached as applying to the Body of Christ.
I began to recognize that even though they were both in the Bible they contradicted each other. Knowing that the Bible does not contradict itself brought me to the decision to wrap this "little problem" up with a bow and throw it into a "wagon" I dragged behind me, figuring that one day I would find the solution. Over the years I would throw more and more of these little "problem boxes" into this wagon until it became quite unweildy. Then one day at church a friend mentioned "Dispensationalism" to me. I hadn't ever heard that word but started researching it. That, along with "Rightly Dividing the word of truth." (2 Timothy 2:15), led me to understand HOW Romans 4:5 did not conflict with James 2:24. They were written to different groups of people. Once I started examining all the boxes in my wagon in this light, I could unwrap and clearly understand each one.
Today, I no longer carry all that bagage behind me in my wagon. I now have internal peace knowing without any doubt that at the moment of my death I will be welcomed into the presense of God — not because of anything I may have done, but ENTIRELY because of what Jesus did on that cross 2000 years ago. This is why I started this web site, so that others can understand the absolute simplicity in which can have salvation through Jesus, and have peace and security in that salvation.
